I’ve actually had nearly pleasant experiences with Air Emirates, Air France, and – strangely enough – Delta. I think Aeroflot is in a class on its own, though.

If we had to sail and ride trains I wouldn’t have been able to come to your wedding!

I honestly can’t tell the difference between most airlines anymore – they’re all equally awful. Though I will never forget my flight from Moscow to Atlanta crammed into a window seat on the last row of the airplane – the seats of which did not recline even though the seats in front of them did. There was also that 10 hour Aeroflot Moscow-New York flight with the drunk Russian man hitting on my neighbor AND NO IN-FLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT. I guess the drunk Russians WERE the entertainment…

I think I’d almost rather we go back to sailing and riding trains.

The trick to flying United is to never fly economy, unless you have so many miles you can get access to a seat in the exit row, with lots of space. So first you accumulate, oh, 100,000 frequent flyer miles, and everything’s okay. Helpful parental advice.

Allen and I got a kitty! And he does the same thing as The Bear. And if we lock him out of the bedroom he mews pitifully. It’s really torture.

Hmm. Is there a bed and a working bathroom at least? One can always sit on the floor and eat cereal or pizza (at least temporarily…) Good luck!!! Keep us updated!!
